After working with Everweb for a while and some other applications, I have settled on a workflow that fits the way I do things. That mainly involves email, websites and blogging.
For email I have been primarily working with eM Client and Sparkmail Desktop. There are many other email Apps for macOS. These two are the most powerful and they are supported. Both of these Apps are paid for versions, they are not free.
The eM Client App offers more features than Sparkmail, yet it lacks the same ease of use. As a Windows application ported to Mac, it feels less native. Sparkmail Desktop is more intuitive and Mac-like. Because Sparkmail is easier to use, I will continue with that app.
Websites
I have built websites for years. I am not a professioanl designer, I do it for fun. I have used different applications for website design. Over the last few years I have settled on Blocs and Everweb. Everntually, I created all my websites in Everweb. I think Blocs is a bit more powerful, but Everweb is easier to use and more intuitive. One of the websites I created and maintain is the Falcon Garden Club. It is nothing fancy, but nicer than just a placeholder page.
Blogging
I have done all kinds of blogs over the years. I used to do a Mac blog for all things Macintosh. Lately, I am doing this blog, dougman. It is just a personal blog about whatever I am currently engaged in.
In the old days, I used the excellent iWeb App from Apple to do my websites and blogging. Thankfully, Everweb came along so I could migrate my stuff going forward. I have also used an App called Blocs for websties, but they do not have a blogging feature. The blogging feature in Everweb is excellent. There are a few things I would like to see improved, but I am staying with Everweb for my blog for the foreseeable future. I do miss the writing and editng capabilities of Apps like Ulysses and iA Writer, but Everweb editing is adequate and it is so much easier to blog in this App than try to work with WordPress.
