Now that I am back on WordPress, I think I am going to try using the iA Writer App for my blog articles. I think iA Writer’s syntax and grammar checking system is the best of all the writing Apps that I currently use. That includes Ulysses and MarsEdit.
IA Writer has the ability to use the “Writing Tools” built into macOS. Ulysses uses the Writing Tools, but iA Writer’s implementation is much smoother. It has a nice transition effect when you use the Tools in your document.
Another thing iA Writer does better than other Apps is using the Cloud for articles. I started this article on my Mac in my office using iA Writer. I am finishing the article on my iPad in the living room. That is a handy feature.
The only drawback of iA Writer is the publishing feature. Your article is posted as a Draft. Then you have to interact with the WordPress Blocks editor by logging into your WordPress account. It is not difficult once you get the workflow.
We will see how it goes with iA Writer. I do enjoy writing with it. The feature set is helpful and fun.
