After a brief hiatus using the Everweb App, I am back to writing my blog posts in Ulysses on WordPress. The bottom line is I missed being able to use all the text editing features of Apps like Ulysses, iA Writer or MarsEdit.
Everweb is a good blogging App. But, its editing features and text handling are basic at best. You can get by with it, but I missed being able to use things like “Footnotes” and “Block-quotes”. I also missed the grammar and syntax features of these writing Apps.
Currently, I am in the process of moving my blog back to WordPress. I was able to import a WordPress backup file from my old blog. However, that file did not contain the images for each post. I have been adding images to the posts and then reposting them to the blog. This is tedious work, but it will all work out going forward.
Hopefully, I have enough sense to remain on the WordPress platform. It is quite versatile with lots of power. Any of the three Apps that I use for writing and posting articles is good.
