At 80 years old, I feel truly thankful for the blessing God has given me in reaching this age. Aging introduces difficulties, and certain limits become part of everyday life. Some past activities are no longer feasible because physical strength has shifted. Among these is travel.

Extended drives have become quite demanding for me. I can still manage driving adequately, yet I prefer to avoid long distances. Air travel is also taxing. My wife and I recently flew to another state to visit family. Because I am a large man, I do not fit comfortably in airplane seats. The journey was not pleasant at all. Every flight encountered delays for various reasons. Flying is difficult, at least for me.

Local movement remains simple. Yet long-distance travel to other areas has become challenging for me. I simply choose to avoid it.
